Last night saw a packed lodge room at Warren Ave witness Worshipful Bro Malcolm Pantel be installed as Master of our Lodge for the ensuing year. At 90 years old Malcolm ascended into the Chair of King Solomon for the 1st time in his 66 years as a Freemason. The WM has worked tirelessly to learn ritual, build his new team of officers and last night they too were invested into their respective roles in the Lodge. Many taking their 1st offices. There were heartfelt speeches, tears of pride and joy, lots of laughter and brilliant festive board for 65 diners. Definitely a night to remember and one that made us all realise what fun and how unifying being a Freemason is. We are all looking forward to the night and of course the Festive Board afterwards, where our wonderful caterers will serve us a chinese style 3 course meal. On Monday 20th January 2025 The Elizabethan Lodge initiated Bro Josh Whitton into our masonic fraternity. The evening saw some excellent recitals by the brethren of the lodge delivered so well that visiting officers remarked it was one the best ceremony’s they had seen for a long time. Welcome Bro Josh and we hope you have many happy years with us in Christchurch and the wider order.
